First Clinic – 16 years old

Before this camp, I had never been told I was a butterflier before. I come from an area where people who are “butterflier” swim sub :58 100 fly and swim ridiculously fast sets. I always assumed I was bad at butterfly because I couldn’t keep up in the butterfly sets with those girls and my coaches are men of few words. Being told I had a beautiful stroke and could definitely swim a 200 fly made me feel so good inside and the comments were so genuine. I now know it’s something I can work on to better my IMs and maybe survive those long butterfly sets in practice. Even though I was definitively the oldest person at the camp I felt like I was still given things to work on and focus on in the future which I greatly appreciate. I was worried I would come in to the camp and be dismissed because my stroke was “fine”. I appreciated being included. Thanks.

Clinicians were great, personable and inspiring

June 17th, 2019

Scott Weltz and Matthew D. were excellent instructors. They did a great job explaining and demonstrating the various drills & strokes to the kids. You could tell Scott connected with the kids. The kids asked great questions. Scott gave great answers that the kids could relate to. It was great to hear his personal story and his explanation on believing in yourself and your abilities. This was such a positive experience and so grateful to have been able to participate. I would recommend the Elite Technique Academy. The clinicians were great, personable and inspiring. They are passionate about swimming and gave great advice for the young swimmers to do their best.

Great experience for children to learn from accomplished athletes and hear their stories. Favorite message that resonated with me as a parent was to hear that they may not have been the most accomplished swimmer but swimming brought them to their beat friend. As a parent I appreciate the instructors with dry sense of humor as they are teaching kids. It keeps the event entertaining for all in attendance. Keep up the passion you have and sharing your stories of how swimming has helped you through life, not just through winning the competitions and metals but with life lessons it has helped you discover along the way.

Any Fitter and Faster Swim Tour experience is priceless!

June 6th, 2019

Our three clinicians were utterly fantastic! They made my daughter feel comfortable and welcome!
Tyler, even though his back went out on Day 2, was still so interactive with the swimmers! He is a phenomenal teacher! His knowledge base is deep but how he presented it was very easy for the kids to understand.
Giles was so wonderful! He shared his expertise with butterfly as well as sharing how is perseverance has carried him through his swimming journey!
Michael was in the water a lot and offered his expertise in a very kid-friendly way!
Honestly, these guys were a fantastic trio and my daughter would love to attend another clinic with ALL of them! Fitter and Faster Swim Tour gives your swimmer a plethora of knowledge from those who know swimming best! Each clinic lends itself to a new host of skills and experiences based on the level of your swimmer. The clinicians are so personable and make every child feel welcome and open to their advice/suggestions. Any Fitter and Faster Swim Tour experience is priceless!

We will definitely be back!

June 6th, 2019

Have a swimmer that thinks they know it all? Maybe a change of scenery and a fantastic swimmer or former competitive swimmer can help drive home what you’ve been trying to communicate. They were amazing! Marina and Glenn were great speakers and terrific at communicating the drills and the important focus points. They kept all of the 11 and under’s engaged for the entire time. We will be cheering for Marina as she heads into 2020! We will definitely be back!

Very inspirational to young swimmers!

June 5th, 2019

Tyler, Giles, and Michael were great. They were very approachable and so kind and encouraging to my children. One of the best parts of the clinic was them telling their story and the Q&A at the end. Very inspirational to young swimmers – thank them for an excellent job!

First Clinic!

My daughter participated in the backstroke clinic on Sunday. She had a swim meet on Monday, coming in 1st place, taking 3 seconds off of her previous best time.

Worth every penny spent

June 4th, 2019

Not only did my two swimmers learn new skills and techniques, my oldest was so inspired and encouraged by the coaches and their testimonies. It was so very important for my daughter to hear how all the coaches have struggled in their swim career in one way or another and those life experiences shared were just as valuable as the techniques they learned. Both left with a new sense of confidence and that is worth every penny spent. Thank you to the coaches for being real and authentic. I only wish the camp was longer and wish they had you all as coaches all the time. Thank you. I only wish my kids had more time with you all. Thanks for spending the time you did with so many eager kids. You all made a huge impact on them. Now all my kids talk about is swimming at Tennessee and watching you all at the Olympics!

She shaved off 4 seconds!

June 4th, 2019

The instruction my daughter received was phenomenal! For butterfly specifically, the suggestions for improvements have absolutely transformed her proficiency in this stroke! I cannot emphasize enough how much of a game changer this 3 hour clinic has been for her! Fly has never been her favored stroke but she loves to swim IM. The clinic was this past Saturday and her summer swim team held a practice meet on Monday night following the clinic. My husband and I were almost in tears watching her swim the IM and fly because she finally looks so smooth and strong doing this stroke and she shaved off 4 seconds in both events primarily from her improvements to fly!!! On the way home from the meet she said how much better she felt swimming fly and that it has moved up the ranks to be her 2nd favorite stroke. THANK YOU!!

This camp is a top level camp!

June 3rd, 2019

This is an outstanding camp. My son could not do the butterfly when he got there . He’s been swimming year round for 4 years. And this camp taught him the butterfly in two hours.
The instruction was excellent. There’s a clear difference with instruction by swimmers that have top level swimming. They know how to teach proper technique to any swimmer. This camp is a top level camp. I’m very happy we attended. I think it’s a good camp for people that need to learn the correct way to swim. If you’re new or you need some stroke technique work, it’s a great camp. I would say it’s more of a technique camp. Which we definitely needed on the butterfly. I love the camp. We’re from Greenville SC. We’ll definitely come to another camp. He’ll be 12 next year.
