The clinicians still provide one on one with each individual!
August 13th, 2019
Fitter and Faster Swim Tour provides a very welcoming, personable environment. Even though the swimmers are learning in a group, the clinicians still provide one on one with each individual to help the swimmers improve in their needed area. We really appreciated how personable they were. Both Clark Smith and Joey Reilman maintained a very humbling attitude that made the swimmers feel at ease in their environment. They were both extremely knowledgeable in the area of swimming, and were more than happy to share their knowledge with the parents and swimmers. Both my 10 year old and 17 year old daughters attended this clinic, and they enjoyed every second.
The advice for the stance on the block for starts was extremely helpful. Also, the advice of using underwaters on sprinting can really make or break your races. Both Joey Reilman and Clark Smith helped me improve my walls during my swims. Finally, the piece of advice that they gave my 17 year old daughter that really stuck with her was, “The best time to make small changes in your technique and races is when you are tired because it gives you something to focus on instead of dwelling on how tired you are.”
A very special “Thank You!” to Clark Smith and Joey Reilman. Your help and advice really encouraged my children to pursue their goals in the world of swimming. Good luck with time trials for the 2020 Olympics!

Thank you Austin!
June 30th, 2019
My grandson attended all 5 days. Every day he told us he learned techniques that made him a better swimmer, and learned them in a way he could remember them. I watched the clinics, and Austin kept the kids interested, organized, and paying attention. Austin was able to give constructive feedback to each swimmer, and the drills were taught in a way the children were anxious to learn. We will definitely be attending another one. Garrett’s private coach recommended the clinic because having your swimmer exposed to other qualified coaches, is beneficial to their development. Thank you Austin! Garrett said he feels more confident after the clinic, and having someone at your level compliment him, and encourage him was really cool. As I told you he’s legally blind so he has to work a little harder to swim. You did awesome! Our family will never forget you.

Tom gave him the confidence!
June 30th, 2019
Tom Luchsinger was amazing with the kids! My son loved that he interacted with them so much, & was willing to answer so many questions! My son loved the different drills they did to work on different parts of their starts! He loved the drill that they had to take their mark, then life their back leg up, & use just their arms strength to propel their body off the start! Tom told the kids that they have to not be afraid to try new events. My son took that to heart, and asked to swim in a USA meet that was very intimidating to him because he had to swim 5 events, 3 of which he had never swam before. Tom gave him the confidence to do it! Thank you!

Left excited about his next meet!
June 18th, 2019
My swimmer left excited about his next meet because he felt his turns were much better. He also said the he improved his backstroke kick and his butterfly. He told his grandfather that the clinic was “amazing”. Both Nick and Emma were great with the swimmers. They were enthusiastic, clear and had high expectations for all of the swimmers. It’s not every adult that can hold the attention of a group of 10-12 year olds and they did it well.

Kissimmee Swim Association Coach’s review
June 18th, 2019
There is so many things I took away from this camp. Some new drills. The best thing for me was the enthusiasm that was expressed to the swimmers and all the great motivational stories, of course we got more than most because of the bad weather. I was so impressed with their willingness to work with the parents and facility to make the best for all out of bad situation due to weather. I had seven swimmers at the camp and all were extremely satisfied with the camp! I see a great improvement in their strokes and can only hope I have retained enough information to keep them on this great track to an amazing swim career and a fulfilling life in what ever path they choose. I truly want to thank everyone who was a part of this camp, especially Nick Thoman & Emma Reaney for welcoming me and answering all my questions, being so genuine and incredibly fantastic towards all the swimmers. Thanks again for a great week. I hope to be able to attend another camp in the near future!

Instructionally brilliant!
June 18th, 2019
I am a college professor and professional science educator, and I was deeply impressed with the way Nick and Emma deconstructed the strokes and built them up in the drills. Much of what they did was instructionally brilliant, but I am not sure this was clear to all parents present. It might be good to find time just to make this clear in the future. That said it was wonderfully done and we will look to participate in a future clinic with you. Both Nick and Emma did an extraordinary job of working with my son who is functionally deaf in the pool (while not wearing his hearing aids). My son, Nick, and I both deeply appreciate their effort, as well as their extraordinary instructional ability in general.
