Looking forward to the next camp!
September 1st, 2020
Great opportunity to work on finer details of the swim. To take time out and focus on starts, turns, break-outs, and finishes were some of the details our current swim program will get to, but isn’t typically taught to the younger swimmers. Fun clinic with top notch athletes who worked well with the kids. I appreciate the time and effort you both expended working with my son. Thanks for everything!
My son had a great time! His current swim team focuses on the water in between the flags and building up strength and endurance so it was a much needed (and well received) coaching session on technique and finer details. The coaches were knowledgeable and worked well with all the kids. Looking forward to the next camp!

The entire staff was amazing. Patty, Chloe, Tyler, and David were great to work with and very helpful answering all questions. They were also very prompt in returning emails and questions. Our clinicians, Tyler Messerschmidt and Will Pasani were fantastic!! Our kids had a great experience. Thank you to Fitter and Faster. We can’t wait to have another clinic.

Carlos did a great job
September 1st, 2020
Carlos did a great job of welcoming me and making me feel comfortable. Carlos did a great job, and is the best clinician I have had so far after about 8 camps. He really understands what it takes to teach a swimmer information so that they will remember it. Carlos told me and helped in learning to shrug my shoulders on pull out. This will really help me.

Thank you Amini!
September 1st, 2020
Not only was Amini Founa able to help my son rework his backstroke in one session after years of frustration with it, he also had very helpful advice and was encouraging about the process of applying to colleges as a swimmer. Our son, Colin, swam with Amini in Massachusetts mid August and swims with him again this weekend in Stamford and, I believe again, in Massachusetts mid September. This Sunday, he got in the car and immediately described how Amini was the only coach to, not only understand his frustration with backstroke, but he corrected it and gave him the opportunity to continue with it until it was in his muscle memory. He was busting with joy. He also just really likes him. Thinks he’s cool. Thank you!

Accommodated my injured daughter!
September 1st, 2020
I really appreciated the accommodation and focused attention given to my daughter due to her injured foot and her not being able to actually go off the block. She was instructed individually and given the same series of drills to work on in the cool-down well using the bottom of the pool rather than the blocks while the other participants did the blocks drills. Thank you Robyn for that extra effort!!

Dear Patty,
COVID-Era Host Review from Snohomish, WA

I’ve always enjoyed working with Fitter & Faster and have come to expect the highest level of professionalism and concern for athlete safety. When we were faced with the challenge of managing a camp in the COVID era, the team at Fitter & Faster was proactive in engaging in conversation to address all of our concerns. Camp size was reduced to comply with local mandates, registration was changed to ensure distancing and efficient movement of the athletes, and even the instruction method was modified to ensure athletes remained distanced, while still receiving excellent coaching. I’m so thankful for my continued relationship with the team at Fitter & Faster, and look forward to our future camps!

COVID-era Swim Camp Review from Host in Erie, PA

I was apprehensive to run the Fitter and Faster swim clinics in June and July during this COVID-19 pandemic. David Arluck and his staff expressed their concerns as well. Together with the facilities manager we followed the COVID-19 Fitter and Faster guidelines already put into practice and our own state COVID-19 guidelines to run two safe and really productive swim clinics. Fitter and Faster was with me on preparing every step of each clinic. The clinicians in both clinics were very mindful of the social distancing required throughout the clinics. I received many positive comments from swimmers and their parents on the way the swim clinics were conducted and their quality. I am looking forward to the next Fitter and Faster that we will host.

Several “Ah Ha” moments
August 5th, 2020
The focus on technique and timing is what set this clinic apart from the instruction my daughter received from her LSC. The butterfly is a difficult stroke to swim efficiently, but the progression of different drills resulted in my daughter having several “Ah Ha” moments. As a result, the butterfly went from one of her most loathed strokes to one that she looks forward to improving further. Local Swim Clubs are very hit or miss in terms of connecting with our children. Fitter and Faster coaches and clinicians all have the enviable combination of elite experience and having once been an Age Group swimmer. The drills and lessons are very relatable as a result, and are now incorporating these teaching points or instruction in to their training routines and race preparation.
Having participated in MANY clinics from Georgia, to Alabama, to Florida with my daughters Audrey and Nora, the Butterfly camp by Luis and the clinician was one of the best. While Jack Roach, Brett Hawke, and Tyler McClery were all great, the groups were much larger and therefore the swimmers had less individual interaction with them. With Luis and Robyn, they had only nine (9) swimmers and the broke the drills down having only three (3) swimmers in the water at a time (not including warm-ups and general drills). The result was a great deal of individual instruction after every drill which really helped Audrey understand the specifics of what she needed to improve. Because of this, Audrey took away more from this camp than any other.
