As a high school coach, it was helpful, informative and very effective to watch the Mark swim the drills while they were explained then have the instructors watch as the swimmers ran the drills. I thought 4 drills per stroke was a great use of time and they were taught clearly. Having a visual to learn from before doing the drills themselves then stopping between sets to adjust their technique was extremely helpful. I learned from watching both Mark and all the swimmer run through the drills in their different skill levels.

Clinicians at our session were very good at communicating with both the kids and parents about expectations and throughout the drills.
“We were very impressed with the small group feel”

We were very impressed with the small group feel and the way instructors got in the water and swam alongside the kids to help them learn at certain points in the sessions. The clinic was also very well run and progressed smoothly and held the attention of the participants.

(Insert Applause). Both Mark and Clark were clear and concise with their description of drills, gentle with their instruction and coming from a college coach, Mark knew how to get the desired result.

“Miss Sutton is an absolute gem!”

Miss Sutton is an absolute gem! The knowledge and patience she presented were amazing. She connected with the swimmers and, for as quick as the clinics were, she managed to relay the techniques well while giving positive feedback to the group and to individuals. Miss Sutton is a positive ambassador for Fitter and Faster.

What skill/exercise/advice stuck with you the most? Positive attitudes and encouraging stories. Knowing your body and personal needs. Awareness and knowledge of swimming techniques to your physical needs.
What would you like to see covered at your next Fitter and Faster Clinic? I would not mind the same information. Repeated information is needed over and over again.
Any other comments about the event? I really did enjoy the positive and encouraging atmosphere. The swimmers were engaged most of the time. That’s a huge complement to Chole. They liked her and respected her and her knowledge.

What skill/exercise/advice stuck with you the most? I really liked how you were trying to get the swimmers to use their arms on the starting blocks by lifting up their back foot.
Any other comments about the event? Excellent!! Chloe and her Mom Wendy were so personable!

Chloe did a great job of breaking down the strokes and working one on one with kids. The kick board drill for the butterfly and breaststroke are the 2 new ones that I will be using.

As a coach I loved the words that Claire and Tucker used to explain a drill. i.e. swim with purpose, intentional, thoughtful! I use these all the time so, it was good that my swimmers heard it from an Olympic athlete.
