I wanted to jump in the water too!
September 20th, 2018
This was so much fun. I wanted to jump in the water too!! I (the participant’s mom) am an open water distance swimmer and loved hearing about Chloe’s experience. This was truly a moment of meeting one of my heroes!! Oh, and my kid–he had fun too 😉
I’m now sitting on the computer looking into winter swim programs because he now wants to take it to the next level and not “just” do summer swim. We would do the clinic every time it came to our area. I am surprised that more of our friends (and even our coach!) had not heard of the program–I only saw it because one of the open water groups I belong to mentioned the clinic. What serendipity!!
I thought that Chloe and Clark balanced one another perfectly–not only the male/female, sprinter/distance swimmer, but also in their personalities. It sounded like Clark really loved all sports as a kid and dabbled in many before settling into serious swimming relatively late, while Chloe was “all in” from the start. It’s great to show both sides of the commitment level, and that there is not really one “mold” for an Olympian or a specific when where in a swimmer’s career that the defining moment has to happen.
Clark and Chloe were both really good at working with the kids. Of course the kids would be hanging on every word just knowing what those two had accomplished, but even if you were to take those accomplishments away, Chloe and Clark were both just really good people. They were super sweet to the kids, very poised, and great teachers. Thank you for a wonderful weekend. We really enjoyed it!

Chloe and Clark were great! Very engaging — appropriate stories and tales of their past/training experiences/races for this age group. Good life stories on working hard. (And adding their supportive parents into their stories!).

Nick Thoman is an amazing teacher and his love for swimming really shows. I really enjoyed watching him work with the kids.

Lincoln loved when Chloe Sutton showed them how to NOT swim butterfly! He realized that one of the things she showed not to do, he does do when his arms get tired! He liked the chest press drills since that is something he needs to work on. He also said that he loved that Chloe & Clark showed him exactly where to place his hands on his starts. Another thing that stuck with him was saying that he should do at least 5 dolphin kicks off every wall even during practice. He loved Clark’s “moose drill” for breaststroke! Both clinicians were engaging, & my son never got antsy! That says a lot considering he’s a busy 10 year old boy!
You were both AMAZING! Chloe is the best I have ever seen or experienced. The way she explains drills & makes it fun for the kids, helps the kids to remember them when they go home!
We absolutely love Fitter & Faster! Thank you for continuing to inspire kids!

Jeff did an amazing job- yet again. I don’t think most people see all the things that he needs to handle and manage to make the clinic run without issue. I helped at our clinic and got to see all he does and I really appreciate it.

My daughter swims for Machine and was looking through their records and found that Chloe still holds a 9-10 record. A few days later I saw information about the swim clinic and signed her up as a birthday present. She was super excited but also a little nervous at first because she didn’t know anyone else who would be there and she’s a pretty quiet, shy kid. As soon as she got there, everyone was very friendly and she felt right at home. She loved the clinic, was very excited about everything she learned and can’t wait to go to practice tonight to work on things.

This an amazing opportunity to really focus on specific techniques to improve your swimming skills. The added benefit is the incredible positive insights from Olympic swimmers.
Chloe and Clarke were fabulous. Chloe was incredibly generous with her time and insights and her positive attitude was infectious. She is an amazing role model and I am beyond grateful that my daughter had the opportunity to participate.

I felt like this was the best clinic she has attended. The coaches were excellent. We walked away remembering that there are ups and downs in swimming. We loved when Nick shared that he didnt make state at age 14, yet he has Olympic medals!! Very encouraging!

Tom Luchsinger and Amanda Weir were so great with the kids. Great lessons in and out of the water. Q&A at the end was very helpful for our teenage daughter who left the clinic feeling more confident. Tom’s sense of humor helped keep the children engaged; Amanda was so warm and approachable. Great team and keep it up
“My swimmer learned more in this clinic than three years of overnight camps”

This camp was amazing. My child has done 3 years of sleep away swim camp and learned more in this this clinic than in that overnight camp.
Tyler was amazing. Not only his swimming and teaching skills but also his ability to communicate the importance of believing in yourself and that you need to set your dreams and standards high, because why limit yourself.
