Olympic Champion Bobby Finke Joins Fitter & Faster Swim Camps in Multi-Year Partnership
We are excited to share that Olympic gold medalist and World Champion Bobby Finke is joining Fitter & Faster as part of our clinician team through 2028. Beginning with camps in Virginia and Maryland between Christmas and New Year’s, Bobby will lead multiple events each year as part of a long-term partnership that strengthens an already exceptional roster of more than 150 active Fitter & Faster clinicians across North America.
This new relationship isn’t about adding another famous name – it’s about welcoming someone who genuinely wants to teach.
That became clear this past September, when Bobby joined our camps in Irvine and San Diego. His sessions weren’t about accolades or attention. They were about the kids. He asked questions. He explained technique patiently. He stayed late to talk with swimmers. He connected.

“When we worked with Bobby in California this fall, it was immediately clear he wasn’t there for the spotlight – he was there for the swimmers,” said John Nelson, Fitter & Faster’s Director of Swimming Performance, who mentors and hires clinicians across the country. “That’s exactly the type of teacher and mentor we want representing our program.”

Longtime Fitter & Faster clinician Atiba Wade, who has led more than 25 camps this year and worked side-by-side with Bobby in Southern California, noticed the same thing.
“Yes, he’s an Olympic champion,” Atiba said, “but more importantly, he took the time to engage with every swimmer. He listened. He explained. He cared. That’s what makes him such a strong fit for what we do.”

Over the next several years, Bobby will travel to communities around the country, joining our clinicians and contributing to a shared mission: helping kids build confidence, master essential skills, strengthen their love of the sport, and learn the habits that lead to long-term growth.
Some of these camps will take place after the 2028 Olympic Games, giving swimmers a chance to learn from him during one of the most exciting periods of his career.
